Leveling Of The Playing Field

Home sales will move up and down somewhat over the remainder of the year but stay at a high plateau, meaning this will be the third strongest year on record. This is according to the National Association Of Realtors® latest report.

South Orange County March 2006 home sales cooled from March 2005, a trend that continued from February sales. However, appreciation remains strong.

Across the board, inventory increased while the number of sold listings declined.

What does all this mean to buyers and sellers?

Higher inventory means buyers have more homes to choose from than in the past few years. These buyers are looking for the most value for their money.
And, sellers need to be competitively priced to attract buyers to their home.
